Flu Clinics Autumn 2025

If you are an adult in an eligible group for the NHS flu vaccine, you will receive a text message inviting you to book an appointment using a booking link. Clinics will begin from October 2025.

Please call the surgery if you believe you are eligible for a vaccine, but have not received an invitation.

Flu clinics will be held at Weeke and Badger Farm in October and November. Covid vaccines will only be given at the Badger Farm surgery. If you are eligible for both the Flu and Covid vaccines, these can be given together at Badger Farm, at the same appointment.

Who can get the free NHS flu vaccine

The flu vaccine is recommended for people at higher risk of becoming seriously ill from flu. You are eligible if you:

  • are aged 65 years and over
  • have certain long-term health conditions (such as diabetes, heart disease, asthma and others)
  • are pregnant
  • live in a care home
  • are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
  • live with someone who has a weakened immune system
  • are a frontline health or social care worker (through your employer)

Flu vaccines for children

Children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025 (born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023) are also eligible.
We will be inviting these patients, via text message, to book appointments for the nasal flu vaccine, with clinics starting in September 2025.

Most school-aged children (Reception to Year 11) will get their flu vaccine at school.
