We’re seeing an unusually early start to the flu season this year, with the latest data showing a sharp increase among children but also increases in other age groups, with the virus now starting to spread more widely in the community.

We’ve been made aware that NHS England is sending out new email and text messages. These messages were not sent by our practice. Due to a high volume of calls, please read the provided guidance before contacting us.

If you are an adult in an eligible group for the NHS flu vaccine, you will receive a text message inviting you to book an appointment using a booking link. Clinics will begin from October 2025. Please call the surgery if you believe you are eligible for a vaccine, but have not received an invitation.

The Covid and Flu Seasonal Booster programme will soon be live and is scheduled to run from 3rd October 2025 in line with guidance from NHSE. Appointments will be available on Fridays and Saturdays.

You may have seen recent headlines that people living with obesity will be able to begin accessing tirzepatide (Mounjaro) for weight loss purposes in primary care settings.
