BMA Collective Action

Dear Patients,

We hope this message finds you well, we wanted to let you know our thoughts about the current collective action being taken by the British Medical Association (BMA).

You may see various articles in the media about this and have concerns about how this may affect your care. Please be assured that our primary commitment remains to provide you with the highest standard of care.

While GPs are not planning to formally strike,  we will be undertaking some aspects of this collective action.

Our reasons for this are that new GP contract offer does not include sufficient funding to cover the rising costs of running a practice and the high demand for our services.   We sincerely want to provide you with the best possible care and meet the needs of all our patients, this is sadly not possible under current chronically underfunded services.

Your well-being is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and support during this time.

Our practice is committed to providing timely access when you need us, continuity with a GP you know and trust, working alongside a happy and not overburdened team. Most importantly we want to be there for you and your family in the future.

Thank you for your continued trust in our services.

Sincerely,

The GP Partners, The Friarsgate Practice, Winchester.
