Our GPs provide overarching responsibility for patient care and handle most serious, acute and complex issues.

Dr Helen Lambert (she/her)
Senior Partner – BM MRCP MRCGPDr Helen Lambert joined the practice as a partner in 2004. She enjoys all aspects of general practice but especially caring for families and patients with cardiac problems. Dr Lambert lives in Kings Somborne with her husband and young family. She enjoys family life, cooking and keeping fit. Helen is currently a GP trainer.

Dr Sarita Sluman (she/her)
Partner – BM MRCGP DFFP DOccMedDr Sluman joined the practice as a partner in November 2011. She enjoys all aspects of general practice but particularly enjoys Paediatrics and Ear, Nose and Throat problems. Sarita has a busy family life, with three children and 4 dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with the family and travelling.

Dr Vykunthan Selvaratnam (he/him)
Partner – MB BS BSc(Hons) MRCS(Eng) MRCGP DipMedEdDr Selvaratnam joined the practice as a partner in January 2013. He enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a particular interest in minor surgery and joint injections. Dr Selvaratnam currently lives in Romsey with his young family and enjoys running, cycling and camping when time allows.

Dr Jason Bradbury (he/him)
Partner – MB BS MSc MRCP MRCGP DOccMedDr Bradbury joined the practice as a partner in September 2013. He enjoys all facets of general practice life and maintains an interest in cardiology, chest medicine and diabetes. Dr Bradbury enjoys a busy family life and has two sons. When time permits, he enjoys football, cricket and cycling.

Dr Stephanie Hughes (she/her)
Partner – BSc(Hons) BMBCh(Oxon) FRCGP DipMedEdDr Stephanie Hughes started at Friarsgate as a partner in April 2021. She enjoys the diversity of general practice, and loves helping patients of all ages with any primary care needs. She has a strong background in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, carries out appraisals for her colleagues, and also holds the post of Associate Dean at Health Education Wessex. She also has special interests in primary care research and medical student learning in practice. Dr Hughes has three daughters and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

Dr Gabriel Sherliker (he/him)
Partner – MB BS BSc(Hons) PGCertMedEd MAcadMEd FHEA MRCGPDr Sherliker became a partner in August 2021, having completed his specialty training with the practice. He qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ in London, before pursing his postgraduate medical training in Wessex. He is a GP trainer with an interest in medical education. He particularly values the variety of general practice, and the opportunity to positively influence people’s health. Outside of clinical practice, he enjoys running, hiking and spending time with friends, family and his Boston Terriers.

Dr Andy Pike (he/him)
Partner – MBChB BMedSci MRCGP(2022)Dr Pike joined the practice in August 2022. Andy moved to Hampshire to complete his post graduate training after obtaining his medical degree in Sheffield. Andy started his career in emergency medicine before completing speciality training in general practice. Andy enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a special interest in urgent care and teaching. Dr Pike is kept busy outside of work with family life and taking his Labrador for long walks in the beautiful Hampshire countryside.

Dr Elizabeth Meredith (she/her)
Partner – MB BS BSc MRCP(UK) MRCGPDr Meredith started work at The Friarsgate Practice as a GP in July 2017 and became a Partner in April 2023. She enjoys all aspects of general practice. Dr Meredith spends her free time with her husband and children as well as swimming and cycling.

Dr Claire Baker (she/her)
GP – MBBCh DCH MRCGPDr Baker joined the practice in November 2008. She greatly enjoys the variety of general practice work and supporting her patients and their families through their lives and events. Dr Baker is married with 2 children and enjoys literature, walking, cycling and tennis.

Dr Victoria Ayres (she/her)
GP – BM(Hons) MRCGP(2014) DFSRH MRCOGDr Victoria Ayres joined the practice the practice in January 2018. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, but especially enjoys paediatrics and women’s health. Dr Ayres enjoys spending her free time with her husband and young children as well as running and cycling.

Dr Suma Chandy (she/her)
GP – MB BS MD MRCOG MRCGPDr Chandy joined the practice in February 2020. She enjoys all aspects of general practice but, has special interests in Women’s health, Mental health and teaching and appraising other GPs. Dr Chandy enjoys spending time with her family and can usually be found either watching football or taking her children to games.

Dr Josephine Furness (she/her)
GP – BA BM MRCGP DCHDr Furness joined the practice in August 2021. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a special interest in diabetes. Dr Furness enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walks in the countryside and cooking.

Dr Catherine Woodward (she/her)
GP – BM MRCGPDr Woodward joined the practice in February 2023. She enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a special interest in dermatology. Dr Woodward enjoys netball, running, singing in a choir and spending time with her husband and children in her spare time.

Dr Orla Callaghan (she/her)
GP – MB BS BSc MRCGP(2020) MRCP PgDip(Derm)We are delighted to welcome to the Friarsgate Practice, Dr Orla Callaghan. Orla is an experienced GP, having previously worked in Ireland, London and Australia.
Orla has recently moved to Winchester and has returned to work following maternity leave. Alongside working with us at Friarsgate, Orla is working as part of the Winchester Hospice team.

Dr Franco Cocca (he/him)
GP – BSc(Hons) MBChB MRCGPDr Cocca joined the practice after completing his GP speciality training within the practice. He studied Biomedical Science before undertaking his medical degree at the University of Leicester. Dr Cocca completed his postgraduate medical training in Wessex. He enjoys the variety of General Practice and the opportunity to provide continuity of care to patients. Dr Cocca has an interest in classic cars and enjoys trips exploring the Hampshire countryside.

Dr Will Roffey (he/him)
GP – MB BS BSc(Hons) MRCGP(2021)Dr Roffey joined the practice in 2021 as a sessional GP providing us with resilience and flexible clinical cover. He hails from Petersfield and studied medicine at Imperial College London before moving back to Hampshire to complete his GP training. Dr Roffey is an accomplished guitarist and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Dr Joyce Benny (she/her)
GP- MBBS MRCGP (2025)Dr Benny joined the practice in October 2025 and enjoys all aspects of general practice, particularly the variety and continuity of care it offers. Dr Benny recently moved to Hampshire to join her husband after completing her GP training in North East London. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, visiting historical places and running.
